Programme Description
INNOVATIVE’s priority is to give all our students the business skills they need to succeed within the global tourism industries. We believe our College leads the way in providing industry relevant Tourism, Hotel and Event Management education. This programme aims to provide students with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to carry out functional activities in food and beverage, housekeeping, front office and commercial kitchens at an operative level.
The Tourism Management programme provides basic foundation in business and management as applied to Tourism & Hospitality with particular emphasis on managerial and entrepreneurial activities such as hotels, restaurants, tour operators, events and conferences of which are all prime growth industries.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this programme, students will be able to:
• Identify and distinguish products and services in the tourism industry.
• Apply technical skills and hands on tasks on the travel and tour operations.
• Demonstrate ability to design and implement conflict resolution in tourism industry.
• Communicate effectively with indidvidual, gusets and other publics both in oral and written presentations supported by technologies.
• Recognize the impact of tourism industry in a global, environmental and society context using social skills and responsibility.
• Demonstrate positive attitude, strong work ethics and values.
• Identify current trends and acquire long life learning on tourism information management issues.
• Demonstrate self confident, independent, creative and innovative managerial and entrepreneurial skills.
• Exercise dynamic leadership and teamwork for the effective operation of travel alliances and hospitality industry.

Examination Grades
Grade A - Distinction 75% and above
Grade B - Credit 55% to 74%
Grade C - Pass 50% to 54
Grade D - Fail 45% to 49%
Grade E - Fail 40% to 44%
Grade F – Fail 39% and under
Entry Requirements
The minimum age of 18 years and applicants should possess one of the following:
• SPM or equivalent with three (3) credits in any subject.
• GCE “O” level or equivalent with at least five (5) credits in any subject.
• Mature applicants, over the age of 25, who do not possess one of the above, may be admitted at the discretion of the Principal or Registrar.
